ચણાએ કઠોર વર્ગનો પ્રથમ નંબરનો પાક
ચણાના છોડ ૨૦થી ૫૦ સેમી જેટલાં ઊંચા ઉગે
ચણાને ૪૦૦ મિમી જેટલો વાર્ષિક વરસાદ ધરાવતું ક્ષેત્ર માફક આવે
ઉષ્ણ કટિબંધમાં પણ ઉગાડી શકાય છે પણ પેદાશ ઓછી થાય
પાકીને સુકાયેલા ચણાને સીધાં બાફીને ખાવાના ઉપયોગમાં લઈ શકાય
ચણાના ઉત્પાદનમાં ભારત મોખરે છે
ચણાના પાકને ઠંડું પણ સૂકું હવામાન માફક આવે
સખત ઠંડી અને હિમ પણ પાકને નુકસાનકારક નીવડે
ભેજવાળું,વાદળિયું વાતાવરણ પણ ચણાને અનુકૂળ આવતું નથી
વાવેતરની બે હાર વચ્ચે 30 સેમી. જેટલું અંતર રાખવામાં આવે
બે છોડ વચ્ચે 10 સેમી જેટલું અંતર રાખવામાં આવે
બીજને વાવતાં પહેલાં ફૂગનાશક દવાનો પટ આપ્યા પછી વવાય
